McNary
Golf Course lies in Salem's northern neighbor of Keizer, on land
that once housed the family farm of one of Oregon's most prominent
citizens, Governor and U.S. Senator Charles McNary.
McNary encompasses 150 acres of
meadows. The course is one of the most beautiful layouts in the
area with lakes, impeccable fairways, and lush greens.
A small pond fronts the 11th hole,
and Claggett Creek enters play on four holes. Stately oaks, firs,
walnuts, redwoods, and pines line fairways.
The signature hole is the 567-yard
par-5 18th, which winds past trees on the left and slopes toward
the lake along the right. The huge green slopes toward a moat like
leg of Claggett Creek.
